Biography

​

Jonah Schwartz was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He started playing guitar when he was eight years old, he got into songwriting by his guitar teacher when he was twelve. He started playing didgeridoo when he was thirteen with his school teacher. Jonah started teaching himself mandolin when he was fifteen. He began to perform in coffee shops and recording when he was seventeen while he was still in high school. He has played drums for school and won a Most Improved Person (MIP) music club award from his high school. He has recorded two singles.

Jonah has also performed in the past at a music festival in Nova Scotia, Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto and participated in a few songwriting contests.

He has been broadcasted on two different radio stations in 2019. As of recently, he started playing piano. He is currently working on a mini album featuring his original songs. 

​

In 2021 he was interviewed by a Youtuber Sacha Erdan on Zoom and performed a virtual concerts on Zoom, Facebook and Instagram live, which people from north America and Europe viewed. He started performing on Sessions Live.

Jonah's musical influences are The Beatles, James Taylor, Imagine Dragons, Queen, Journey, R.E.M., Simon & Garfunkel, John Denver, Carly Simon, Wet Wet Wet, The Troggs, The Monkees, The Proclaimers, Daniel Powter, Cat Stevens, Roy Orbison, The Doors, Darius Rucker, Green Day, Van Morrison, Beethoven, Sherman Brothers, Elton John, Bryan Adams, Nickelback, Phillip Phillips, The Bee Gees, Bob Dylan, Donny Osmond, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, The Irish Rovers, Third Day, Old Crow Medicine Show, Chuck Berry, Kenny Loggins, Black Sabbath, John Mayer, Phil Collins, BB King and Victoria Justice.
